Littlemoss is more than just a piece of land. It is part of our local heritage, a place where nature thrives, wildlife flourishes, and generations of residents have enjoyed the benefits of open green space.
We are a group of local residents, families, walkers, cyclists, nature lovers and community members who care deeply about the future of Littlemoss. We believe that once a green space is lost, it is lost forever. The decisions made today will shape the environment that future generations inherit.
The proposed development of 440 houses on this Green Belt land would fundamentally change the character of Littlemoss and could have a significant impact on local wildlife, biodiversity, natural habitats, and the open spaces that many people value for recreation, wellbeing and connection with nature.
We recognise the need for housing, but we also believe that development must be sustainable, proportionate and located in the right places. Green Belt land exists for a reason. It protects our natural environment, prevents urban sprawl, and provides vital green spaces for current and future generations.
As residents and custodians of this area, we believe we have a responsibility to speak up for the wildlife that cannot speak for itself, for the communities that depend on access to nature, and for future generations who deserve to inherit a landscape rich in biodiversity and natural beauty.
Our campaign is rooted in evidence, respect and community action. We are committed to raising awareness, engaging constructively in the planning process, and doing everything within our power to protect Littlemoss and preserve this important green space for generations to come.
We do not own Littlemoss. We are merely its custodians for the next generation. What we choose to do today will determine what remains tomorrow.
