Wildlife of the Month
One of the strongest arguments for protecting the Littlemoss Green Belt is the rich variety of wildlife that calls it home. From birds andbutterflies to mammals, amphibians and wildflowers, our local green spaces support far more biodiversity than many people realise.
To help celebrate and document this natural heritage, we are launching a new "Wildlife of the Month" feature.
Each month we will shine a spotlight on a species that can be found in and around Littlemoss, explaining its role in the local ecosystem andwhy the habitats it depends on are so important. We hope this will help residents discover more about the wildlife on their doorstep anddevelop an even greater appreciation of what makes this area special.
This feature is more than just an interesting read. It also forms part of our wider effort to build evidence of the ecological value of the site. Local observations, photographs and wildlife records can help create a clearer picture of the biodiversity that could be affected by development proposals.

Every record, no matter how small, helps build our understanding of the area and contributes to the evidence base demonstrating why thesegreen spaces matter.
Together we can create a community wildlife record that showcases the extraordinary natural environment we are fortunate enough to havein Littlemoss.
